A special care package has been delivered by the team, to be distributed to the patients who are isolating during this Easter period. Inside the care package, are warm recovery messages from the team and bars of Gaston chocolate.

In 2021, VTO was pleased to see the communities of Port Vila, and Vanuatu, step up to the challenge of supporting our local businesses who continue to show resilience despite the difficult times to grow our domestic tourism program because borders were closed.

“This year’s 2022 Easter is just a bit different, so it's important for us at VTO to show our gratitude and compassion to these families who are stepping forward to get tested, to isolate and to get vaccinated”, says VTO’s CEO Adela Issachar Aru.

“They are doing their part to protect the health of our loved ones, and it’s important that we brighten their stay and show them that together we will get through this by protecting our families, communities and our businesses. We wish them and all our front line workers a Happy Easter”, she says.

According to VTO, taking the stand to fight against the stigma that surrounds COVID-19 starts from the individual level all the way up to the organizational level and this is just one way that VTO is doing their part to not only to fight against the stigma, but also to spread much needed positivity during this Easter period.

VTO's Domestic Markets Manager, Ms. Lea Faccarello said "VTO’s Easter camping campaigns as well as Mother's Day and other Cultural Festival activities were a success, thanks to the huge support of the public to support our campaign for #SapotemLokolTurisim."

This year, patients at the Korman Isolation Centre will receive an Easter cheer from VTO and a chance to win one of the 5 vouchers placed within the delivered chocolate bars from the VTO team. The lucky winners will each receive a Vt10,000 voucher to spend at any tourism business.
