THE NABANGA PLEDGE

From the moment you choose Vanuatu for your next unforgettable adventure, to the moment you return home with a million extraordinary memories, making sure everyone stays healthy and safe is our number one priority. Travellers and tourism operators, individuals and families, visitors and islanders – we must all do everything we can to protect one another.

For centuries, the Nabanga has been a symbol of community, life and protection. It’s the largest tree species in Vanuatu and is sacred in all of our 116 distinct cultures. That’s why it lends its name to our nationwide pledge to work together to keep each other Covid-safe, protecting all who live, work or travel in this beautiful country.

PROMISING TO KEEP EACH OTHER COVID-SAFE

Card ImageLike the branches and roots of a Nabanga, the Nabanga Pledge connects international visitors, the Vanuatu tourism industry and Ni-Vanuatu chiefs and communities as we all work together to stay Covid-safe.

By taking this pledge, you promise to keep us safe by following all health protocols against Covid-19 during your stay in our communities.

LOOK FOR NABANGA PLEDGE BUSINESSES

ccc logo 600pxWhether it’s the resort staff who ensure your accommodation follows our Safe Business Operations Platform, the restaurant owners who keep their premises clean and welcoming, or the bus drivers who implement social distancing rules, the people of Vanuatu won’t let you down.

Look for businesses who have signed the Nabanga Pledge and are working together to keep everyone safe.

SIGNING THE PLEDGE

On arrival at Customs, you will be given the opportunity to sign the Nabanga Pledge.
