The Vanuatu Golf Open (VGO) has been played at The Port Vila Golf & Country Club for over 30 years.
The course, of approx. 5,800 meters, runs along the beautiful Port Vila Harbour and Mele Bay with views to Hideaway Island, Devils Point and the Pango Peninsula on one side, while the opposite looks to the magnificent, lush green, rolling hills and cattle properties that extend to the center of the Island of Efate.
Keen amateur golfers descend on Port Vila all year round to enjoy Vanuatu golf at its best.
However, The Vanuatu Golf Open gives everyone the opportunity to participate in a significant South Pacific golf event and join with the professionals for a fun week of golf and social interaction which has become legendary.
Nightly functions and entertainment make for a memorable week. Over the years many who have made the initial visit to this fun-filled week, then return on an annual pilgrimage, such is the draw of the friendly smiles and the sensational hospitality offered by the local Ni-Vanuatu people and expat golfing community.
