You will find Port Vila has a wide range of activities to keep you busy during your holidays from nature walks through Mele cascades, Eden on the River and Rentabau, snorkeling off Hideaway island, fishing trips and charters, ocean kayaking, surfing, jungle zip lining, horse riding, and dining from A La Carte, to Ethnic cuisines to local flavors.

Diners delight

The potpourri of expatriate cultures is reflected in food styles served in over forty restaurants and cafes. You can buy an Aussie meat pie or American chilli dog, sip cappuccino in one of the many outdoor cafés or purchase paté or salads from a French patisserie in a supermarket to fill your picnic hamper.

Eton Beach and Crystal Blue Lagoon beach are a must. Though they're a fair drive out of town (45 minutes) out of town, the result is rewarding. Entry is charged so inquire with your hotel or tour guide.

Cascades & Waterfalls

Go for a refreshing dip at the Mele Cascades and cool off under the sun. You will be surrounded by beautiful evergreen and lush vegetation; you may even swim up for a drink at natures first pool.

Port Vila has a broad range of charters to choose from where you can catch marlin, wahoo, Spanish mackerel, giant trevally and numerous species of Tuna including albacore and yellowfin.

Whether it's ocean or river kayaking, Efate has them all.

Dining is deliciously French, European, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, Thai, Melanesian and Mediterranean cuisine. Head out into town and indulge away.
