Frequently Asked Questions
Charters make sense when scheduled seats are full, when you need to reach a small airstrip with few weekly flights, or when a group wants to move on the same morning. They also help for time-sensitive trips such as Pentecost land diving. You pay for flexibility and a more direct routing. For standard Vila to Santo or Vila to Tanna travel, scheduled flights are usually enough.
Remote islands, small groups, photographers, and travellers on a fixed ceremony or cruise connection benefit most. Charters can also link several islands in a day that scheduled hops cannot. They change a trip from waiting on a weekly flight to travelling when you need to. Confirm payload, weather limits and landing permissions when you quote.
They compress waiting time and let you design the day around the experience, not the published timetable. You still work around weather and daylight, but you are not tied to a multi-stop milk run. That makes short trips to Tanna, Pentecost or smaller islands more realistic. The rest of island time, including boats, roads and village hours, stays the same.
