Important Visitor Information
  • Naghol season: Cruise visits are generally timed between April and June.
  • Photography: The Naghol is sacred and photography/media access is governed by local tribal councils and cultural permit requirements.
  • Footwear: The trail to the ritual site can be steep, muddy and slippery; suitable closed-toe trail shoes or hiking sandals are recommended.
  • Cash: Pentecost has no ATM, bank or card facilities for these shore activities, so visitors should carry Vanuatu Vatu in small denominations.
