Gone Diving Vanuatu is a brand new PADI Dive Resort, situated at the beach in a Marine Protected Area in Mele Bay, at the coast stretch between the dive sites Twin Bommies and The Cathedral. We are open every day for fun dives, courses and night dives.

We offer a range of PADI courses, all the way from your very first Discover Scuba dive and Open Water certification, to a variety of Speciality courses, and we also do the first PADI professional level, Dive Master. To get the most of your Holiday, contact us to do your eLearning before your come, and then we´ll do the diving as soon as you arrive.

We do courses and fun dives at our own House Reef, that is home to an amazing variety and amount of reef fish. Having done hundreds of dives here, many of the inhabitants know us well, and come nice and close to say hello and of course check out our new guests.

You can expect to meet several Angelfish, Surgeonfish, heaps of Butterflyfish and Damselfish in all colours and patterns, Nemo lives here, together with Jacks and Groupers, Breams, Fusiliers, Lionfish and the beautiful smaller inhabitants, like nudibranchs and worms. We often meet Moray eels, turtles, cuttlefish, sea snake, and garden eels. Every now and then we are in for great encounters with dugongs, octopus, Nautilus, shark, sting rays and Manta rays. We have not yet met dolphins while diving, but a nice school of dolphins passes our beach several times a week, so one day!! Maybe you could be the first?

The House Reef has three sandy decks on depth levels which makes the reef a perfect dive spot for all divers, and of course for dive training: “The Dugong Deck” (yes, named after several dugong encounters right there) at 8 meters depth, “The Stingray Deck” (also named after amazing Sting ray encounters) at 10-12 meter and “Rock Star City” at 12 -18 meters (yes, this is where we meet the true Rock stars of the Reef).

The Drop Off starts at 20 meters and has a nice wall.

As the reef system has a lot of cracks and caves, it is very interesting for night diving.

If you want to rent equipment, or you bring your own and want to keep it clean and safe between dives, we have you covered.

South Pacific Memories has 4 bungalows for rent, and is perfect for your dive holiday. What about starting the day with a Sunrise Dive before breakfast, and close with a Night dive? Breakfast is always included, and our restaurant offers lunch and dinner, as do a few neighbour restaurants too.

Contact us for dive packages. We make new offers every month. For the month of July, we offer 15 % discount on all fun dives for guests staying in our bungalows.

What are you waiting for? Put up your Gone Diving sign and come making South Pacific Memories with us!

Anne and Petter are PADI and HSA dive instructors. We left Norway, Drysuit diving and jobs as lawyer and communication engineer in the Norwegian police force, to Vanuatu Jan 2020, to chase the dream of a new job life in the tropics. We have used the time of pandemic closed borders to build the resort South Pacific Memories, in which Gone Diving is the inhouse dive center.
