Details

E’ Nauwi Beach Resort is more than a destination—it is a story rooted in culture, history, and the natural beauty of Vanuatu. The name “E’ Nauwi” carries deep meaning: “E’” represents the language of Efate, where “stone” is its essence, and “Nauwi” means “yam.” Together, it reflects the identity of the land and its people. The resort is proudly owned by a local from Eratap Village, a member of the Yam tribe, built on his ancestral land on the eastern side of Efate Island—the heart of Vanuatu. Every part of the resort reflects this authentic connection to place and heritage.

Nestled along a calm, wide lagoon, E’ Nauwi Beach Resort features 16 beautifully positioned bungalows, each facing tranquil waters that shimmer under the Pacific sun. Directly in front lies the resort’s private island, rich with history. This island was once the original village site for the people of Eratap, who relocated in the 1990s. Today, it still holds the old graveyard and meaningful landmarks of the past, along with a church that was recently rebuilt in 2025—making it a place of quiet reflection and cultural significance.

Designed as a true “paradise away from home,” the resort is especially ideal for families. Parents can fully unwind, whether enjoying a peaceful sleep-in or dining in the afternoon glow as the sun paints the sky with vibrant colors. Meanwhile, children are well cared for by dedicated nannies who organize fun and engaging activities, ensuring young guests have just as memorable an experience.

Surrounded by swaying coconut trees and blooming tropical flowers, guests can immerse themselves in nature at their own pace. Kayaks are readily available for those who wish to glide across the lagoon toward the sunset, or guests can hop on a boat for a refreshing swim on the far side of the private island.

At the heart of the resort is its bar and restaurant, known for its exceptional seafood dishes that capture the true taste of the Pacific. Fresh, flavorful, and locally inspired, every meal is an experience in itself.

E’ Nauwi Beach Resort continues to grow, with an exciting new conference and meeting venue currently under construction, set to be completed by the end of the year. This addition will create the perfect setting for corporate retreats, special events, and gatherings in a truly unique island environment.

E’ Nauwi Beach Resort offers not just accommodation, but a genuine connection—to land, to culture, and to the peaceful rhythm of island life.
