CRITTER SPOTTER DIVE TOURS – HAVANNAH HARBOUR – EFATE - VANUATU

We don’t pretend to be something we are not! Hi – we are John Warmington and Sandra Kaye and we are a couple of super passionate divers that just LOVE to get out and dive, whether it be on our house reef from the shore or checking out new locations in our small Oceancraft dive boat.  At Critter spotter our first love is finding critters and sharing the experience with other divers.

We like to think we have a unique eye and knowledge of where certain critters live, making the whole DIVE experience so much more fun and fulfilling.

We are not for big groups! It’s personal and we will go at your pace and at your comfort level (within industry guidelines). We customise our dives to meet your needs, we offer a small  group experience with a maximum of 4 divers. Minimum of two divers required. Divers must be certified as we do not conduct training.

Your safety and enjoyment are our priority, we are fully registered with the Vanuatu Scuba Operators Association (VSOA) and hold a current Vanuatu Tourism Operators permit and business license. Padi accredited divemaster supervises the conduct of all dives.

All scuba dives include tanks and weights. We do not offer nitrox facilities. We have available for hire Mask, fins, snorkel, BCD, Computers, Reg Sets, wet suits

Our base is our home! Literally our front yard – we go down our steps and we are in the water!

OUR CRITTERS

Expect the unexpected, the small stuff that many divers swim past! Like any dive, there are no guarantees, and every dive is chance to find and document something new.

Commonly spotted “critters” include (to name a few):

Anemone fish, Angel fish, Damsel fish, Schooling fusiliers, jack mackerel, silver monos etc., Lion Fish, Coral cod, Devil scorpion fish, Leafy scorpion fish, Box and puffer fish, Crocodile fish (occasional), Moray eels - so far, we have documented 6 different species, Red Bass, many species of Nudibranchs and Flatworms –and a highlight is Halgerda carlsoni which is only found at “Nudi Rock”. A very well camouflaged species but our guides know how and where to find them.

Turtles are regularly sighted – we have two main species, both endangered – Hawksbill and green turtles

Octopus and cuttlefish, Shrimps – numerous species including cleaner shrimps, anemone shrimps, squat shrimps (aka sexy shrimps), bubble coral shrimps and many more.

UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY

We also specialise in underwater photography and videography. If you have a keen eye for underwater photography, then our lessons and workshops will have you engaged as we guide you through some land-based skills before embarking on a journey beneath the surface. We have a wealth of experience and will guide enthusiasts in mastering camera settings, composition, and lighting, ensuring stunning shots of marine life.
