As part of the Vanuatu Tourism Office's COVID-19 recovery strategy, we're offering a domestic marketing campaign to assist local tourism businesses during this difficult period. We are now in Phase 2 of this campaign.

Our domestic tourism marketing campaign aims to boost local tourism businesses' revenue by stimulating demand for offers aimed specifically at the domestic market.

Phase 2 of the campaign runs until September 30, 2020, and provides local tourism businesses with free advertising across digital, print and broadcast media to ensure maximum audience reach.

During this campaign, VTO will promote all the offers we receive from tourism businesses on the following platforms:

  1. Vanuatu Tourism Office’s Facebook account;
  2. On paid social ads on Facebook and Instagram geo-targeted to Vanuatu audiences;
  3. On radio on Buzz FM in Port Vila;
  4. In the Daily Post newspaper.
  5. In Google display and search ads.

Who can use this offer?

Any tourism business in Vanuatu, big or small.

How long will this campaign run, and how many offers can I run?

The campaign runs from now until September 30, 2020. Each business may submit one offer per week. The same offer may be run over consecutive weeks – please specify how long you want your offer to run when you submit it.

What are the specifications for my advertisement?

We require finished artwork with the following specifications:
Format: PDF, or a PNG or JPG graphic that is 2400 pixels on the longest side.
Deadline: Wednesday 12pm each week.

We recommend https://www.canva.com/ as a free design tool suitable for people with little or no experience in design.

How do I submit my offer?

Please complete our offer submission form at https://vanuatu.is/domesticoffers (once per offer please).

Are there any restrictions for images I submit for this campaign on Facebook?

Yes. Facebook has strict rules about ‘quality’ of promotional images shared on their ad network. Facebook recommends images are made up of no more than 20% text. Images that do not meet this criteria will be rejected. Click this link to find out more.

Any other tips?

The ni-Vanuatu audience is significantly larger than the expatriate audience. Consider creating offers targeted at this market.
