Port Vila Coffee Guide
As a nation that grows coffee beans, it's no surprise that Vanuatu is home to many amazing spots where you can get your morning cup of liquid gold. We've pulled together a list of some of our visitor's favourite spots to get a quality morning fix in and around Port Vila.
Coffee Tree
Appearing to be plucked out of a Melbourne laneway (with, naturally, a Vanuatu twist), Coffee Tree serves up a quality cup of coffee right in the centre of Port Vila's beating heart. They also have some scrumptious little snacks - coffee and cake? Yes, please!
Rossi
A firm favourite on Port Vila's Seafront (and just up from Nambawan which we mention below), Rossi's brilliant coffee is matched by its great food menu and serves up caffeine hits for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all the while offering great views over Port Vila Harbour. If you're visiting later in the day, perhaps you'd prefer to have your coffee served in espresso martini form, as you watch a magical sunset accompanied by delicious tapas.

In Bislama, this means ‘the best’, and when it comes to dining on the Port Vila Seafront, Nambawan sure holds its own. With great coffee, snacks and views, Nambawan is a great spot to stop during the day as you work your way through Vila. Also home to a cinema where they show top films (check their Facebook page for the latest session times), Nambawan's location makes it a perfect spot to then explore the neighbouring Haos Blong Handikraft
Learn MoreGrand Hotel & Casino
If, during your downtown Port Vila sojourn, you're looking to have your coffee in air conditioned surrounds, then stopping into the Grand Hotel & Casino, with its great coffee and tasty treats (go on, get the cake to go with your coffee - you can thank us later) is the perfect move.
Learn MoreLe Fournil de Vila
With coffee, there's always room for some fresh, warm French pastries, right? The team at Le Fournil de Vila whip up warm, buttery croissants and fresh baguettes every day. We promise you that it's worth the carbs, as we're salivating now just writing about them.
Tanna Coffee
When people think of Vanuatu's coffee, they typically think about Tanna Coffee, our homegrown and roasted beans. You'll find it served at coffee shops throughout the country, with their factory just out of Port Vila offering tours so that you can learn all about the production of coffee. They also have a stall in the markets, to keep you fuelled as you shop.
