The Republic of Vanuatu celebrates its Independence Day on 30th July. This is a celebration to remember the day in 1980 when the former colony of New Hebrides ended its ruling period by Britain and France and became the free nation of Vanuatu. This is a very important day that attracts thousands of people to witness the flag raising ceremony along with other important activities.
