We've asked some of the key journalists who've travelled the world and visited Vanuatu to share with us their favourite experiences. Henry Brydon from We Are Explorers shares with us his three most memorable #vanuatumoments throughout Vanuatu.

Blue Cave, Tanna

Everything about this place conjures the dreamy spirit of escapism. It already seemed like I'd travelled to a fairly remote place, but after another internal flight to Tanna and then a 30 minute boat trip to a hidden cave, it really felt like I was out there.

I remember swimming through the magical underwater cave portal and popping up the other side; a shaft of light passed through an opening at the top to illuminate the chamber in a way that completely stunned me. The only thing missing was the heavenly throng of a choir to welcome my spluttered entrance.

Village Life, Tanna

Like a Beastie Boys tribute band, this trio of villagers really etched on a memory (and renewed my love of portrait photography). The simplicity of life here is beautiful. The warmth of spirit, the connectedness, the badass arm fold from the kid on the right...I  learned so much on this trip that I still try to incorporate into my own life every day.

Blue Holes
, Santo

Sliding diving goggles over my eyes, I took a deep breath, dove in and suspended myself a few metres under. I looked down and had butterflies in my stomach - it was literally a feeling of vertigo, such was the intense clarity of the water. Floating there for as long as my lungs would let me, the feeling of bewilderment morphed into one of complete and utter joy.

I'd never experienced anything like it and I'm still chasing that high again. Looks like I'll have to head back to Vanuatu for my fix.
