After 4 years of lockdown and patience, the Vanuatu Tourism Office has the honor to announce the re-opening of its annual event, Tok Tok Vanuatu.

Tok Tok Vanuatu is a premier travel trade event bringing together agents, wholesalers and tourism operators. The event is held annually in Port Vila, Vanuatu. It is a great opportunity for travel agents and wholesalers to learn about Vanuatu's tourism industry and to connect with tourism operators from around the country.

This year Tok Tok Vanuatu will be held at Warwick Le Lagon, from the 28th of August to the 4th of September 2023.

WHAT IS TOK TOK VANUATU


Tok Tok Vanuatu is Vanuatu’s signature tourism Travel Trade event, bringing together our international trade and media partners and local tourism operators to network, discuss business opportunities and build relationships. This year’s concept is slightly different from previous years, focusing more on giving our partners a first-hand experience of our product offerings primarily on Efate, Santo, Tanna.

After a four-year break, we are bringing back these important visitors to Vanuatu for three important reasons.
• Provide confidence in the quality of the products and experiences in Vanuatu and provide essential updates
• Re-connect our Vanuatu Tourism businesses with their international partner to discuss further business opportunities and partnerships

• Have our international buyers fall in love with Vanuatu all over again

THEME

This year we are inviting buyers to Moments in the Making. We hope to create an air of anticipation and excitement for buyers as they head back to Vanuatu for the first time since our borders re-opened.

BUYER OVERVIEW

Over 40 buyers from our key markets of Australia, New Zealand, and New Caledonia and long-haul and emerging markets are invited to join Tok Tok Vanuatu to discuss business opportunities with tourism operators to grow our Tourism industry and economy.


INFORMATION FOR SELLERS

TOK TOK in 2023 will focus on providing the hands-on experience of Vanuatu that buyers have been asking for. What does this mean? More famils and experiences rather than meetings.

CHANGES TO TOK TOK VANUATU IN 2023


• The focus for buyers is on seeing and experiencing the product firsthand. After such a longbreakaway it is important for buyers to see what is so special about Vanuatu
• The B2B Day will be simplified, and booths will be a table available for decoration and pull upbanners. We will not have partition between booths.
• There will be additional networking and free nights for buyers

CRITERIA FOR ATTENDING TOK TOK VANUATU 2023

VTO will only accept an application if the Seller:                                                                                                             \
• Is market-ready and able to work in the international tourism destination system
• Has a valid Tourism permit.
• Submits a completed registration form on time as specified on the registration
• Must be able to pay wholesale commission of 20%
• Must be able to be booked by Travel Agents

VTO reserves the right to refuse any application. All applications are subject to review for confirmation.

Applications will only be accepted if the seller meets the above terms and conditions before the closing date of registration. Name changes must be advised by the 1st of August 2023. After this, there will be no guarantee of changes in programs or name tags.

Sellers will be responsible for their own costs for travel and attending functions, however the B2B will not be charged.

REGISTRATION FEES & CONDITIONS

No registration fees in charged to all Sellers and Buyers attending Tok Tok Vanuatu 2023. However, there are fees applicable for the social functions, including the Welcome opening function and the Closing Gala night. Please refer to the registration form for fees to pay.

REGISTRATIONS

All registrations will be made through the online system Marcom. You will be provided a link to submit you information including preferred flight details and famil selections. Registrations will be approved through the Marcom system.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR REGISTRATIONS


• Registrations open for buyers and sellers – 13 to 27 July
• Appointment schedules open from – 29 July to 12 August
• Confirmation of famil program and flight arrangements – 5 August

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

• Registration and appointments will be processed via the MARCOM system. Early processing of applications submitted will ensure you get a maximum number of appointments with

• Seller set up time is 31st of August between 1:00 pm-4:30 pm – please note the change to booth set up in 2023. VTO will provide 1x table and 3 chairs for each seller.
• All buyers and sellers will be provided with more information as the event gets closer.the registration

BOOTH SET UP

• Booth set up at TOK TOK 23 will be like that of similar functions held with a simple table setup to reduce costs for sellers
