Media Release - Port Vila, 07 February 2023 : The Vanuatu Tourism Office is proud to announce the appointments of Cécile Szemmelveisz and Aurélie Skrzyniak as New Caledonia’s market representatives. They will work closely with the Short Haul Markets Manager in Vanuatu to promote and grow the New-Caledonian market. Mr Paul Pio who currently manages the Short Haul Markets Program at VTO oversees this market coordination to ensure the best is awarded this opportunity for coordinating the marketing, promotions, trade relations and communications of Vanuatu tourism in New Caledonia.

Cécile Szemmelveisz: solid knowledge of the tourism industry
Cecile, bringing with her over 10 years of tourism and hospitality experience, started her career working with GTI Tourism in Sydney, Australia, on various destination accounts such as Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea and Peru. She later joined the Ramada by Wyndham Group, managing both the sales and marketing teams in New Caledonia and Vanuatu. Cecile was instrumental in the opening of the first Ramada Resort in Port-Vila in 2017 and also worked on the revamp of the Chantilly’s on The Bay Hotel. Cecile’s knowledge and passion for Vanuatu are inspiring and today, we welcome her as the new Trade Market Representative of the Vanuatu Tourism Office in New Caledonia working with wholesalers, tour operators, trade media and others.

Aurélie Skrzyniak: a passionate communicator
The Pacific Trait d’Union agency (TUP) has been supporting the Vanuatu Tourism Office since 2016, particularly in managing its print, digital, and event communications. Since 2023, the agency's missions have expanded and TUP is now the Vanuatu Tourism Office’s representative in the Caledonian market. Aurélie Skrzyniak, Accounts Director at the agency, will be the focal point for any marketing and communication-related activities, including events on behalf of the Vanuatu Tourism Office in the Caledonian market. With over 10 years of experience in marketing and communication, and 5 years of experience on the Vanuatu account, Aurélie is a true jack-of-all-trades who will be able to put her skills and creativity to the service of the destination.
